Casual, all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ spot has a service button on each table for speedy meat orders.
I’ve been coming to this particular KBBQ spot for over six years now. It is the only spot my friends and I go to when we crave KBBQ. We’ve tried about 3-4 other places but we always end up coming here over and over again. Their customer service is great, their servers are normally smiling most of the time. They’re pretty good at bringing everything you need when you ask for it.
We normally purchase the “All You Can At: A” for about $20, we order brisket, marinated chicken, spicy chicken, and bulgogi. I absolutely love their hot sauce, I wouldn’t be able to eat without it!
Also, ice cream for desert, on them!! They have a box full of ice cream cones and usually 4 different flavors for you to pick from. It’s self serve and you can have as many as you want! This place rocks!!

Came here with a pretty large party for dinner. They have two different menu options for dinner. Menu A is cheaper and has only slightly less choices for meats. Our party decided to go with the all you can eat menu A. We really enjoyed the brisket and the spicy pork. All the meats seemed very good quality and their dipping sauces were super tasty!
Our waiter was so nice and genuinely amazing. He came back often to check on our tables, take our next orders, change our grills, and made sure our tables were never without rice paper! He was such a gem.
Overall, we had a great experience here. They even had scoop your own ice cream to end your meal with! The flavors were very tasty and not what you’d expect. Mocha almond fudge, strawberry, pistachio. Yum! I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in the area. Will definitely be back on our next trip to LA!

It’s been awhile since I dined at a KBBQ restaurant. After a long day in LA, we came back starving and decided to have dinner here. They are located on Beach in the plaza with Farrell’s Ice Cream and Tacos La Calle.
We got here around 9pm and it was super crowded. Initially, the wait time was 25 minutes but, we got seated in less. The servers are friendly and accommodating once you flag them down.
When you get to the table, the banchan (sides) are already set up. You are served 5-6 varieties: seaweed salad, bean sprouts, potato salad, spicy cucumbers, broccoli, cold clear noodles, and fish cake. Of course, there’s the bowl of tossed salad. There’s no kim chi which is a bit different. The rice paper is available upon request.
The AYCE menu comes in Group A: $19.99 or Group B: $22.99. Alcohol options: soju and beer. You are limited to 3 meat plates at one time. Round 1: thin sliced pork belly and brisket. Round 2: Marinated beef bugolgi. The meat quality is really good. The sauce is delicious for dipping your grilled meat.
You will leave here stuffed and happy. Stop at the self serve ice cream station for some dessert before exiting. They have Thrifty ice cream: Pistachio, strawberry cheesecake, and rocky road. For those with a hearty appetite, Cham Soot Gol is your cup of tea! Enjoy!

Korean bbq with the cousins! Come hungry! Leave super full!
I recently checked out Cham Soot Gol on a Sunday night with my cousins. There was a total of eleven us and we had to be split between two tables (no table big enough to fit us). For Kbbq they have two different options A for $18.99 and B for $21.99
Both of our tables chose to get option A for $18.99. It included a variety of different meats such as brisket, pork belly, chicken teriyaki and shrimp. It also comes with kimchi fried rice, tofu soup and egg bowl. I was a fan instantly of the variety. It was definitely nice to see some items that aren’t typically on the menu for other KBBQ spots.
Aside from a large variety of the savory meats and side dishes, they also have free ice cream here! That night there was green tea ice cream and chocolate with almonds ice cream. It’s always nice to have some sweet after so much savory.
Overall a great place for KBBQ! The price is well worth it and you’ll be sure to leave with a happy tummy and a happy smile on your face.

My favorite meats are the duck, chadol/brisket, pork jowl, and their small/large intestines and their banchan and stews are all decent to above average. Free Thrifty ice cream is icing on the cake!
Also noticed the owner/manager kindly feed a homeless lady. That alone deserves 5 stars! Clean (recently remodeled) environment, quality meat, constantly attentive and friendly service make CSG (Cham Soot Gol) the best AYCE KBBQ restaurant in OC.

My favorite place to go to for Korean bbq! it does take a bit to get seated (especially during rush hour) but once you’re there, you get served as much food as you want. I’ve been coming here for years and love the food, service, and ice cream after 🙂

Great Korea BBQ.
So you cook your meat choices right at your table.
They bring you three meats at a time and it’s ALL YOU CAN EAT, 18.99 for A side choices and 21.99 for B side choices.
We picked Pork Belly, Shrimps, Spicy Pork and Beef.
I really liked the Spicy Pork.

I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s really convenient because it’s right around the corner from knotts and there is usually room for a party of 2.
It’s a medium sized space right next to a hookah bar and they have a decent amount of parking.
PRICE:
Standard price for the first AYCE menu is 20$. Price for the second menu is 23$ I think.Options/ Variety:
There are good meat choices on the first menu (about 10 different meat choices) and you can get soon doo boo or egg soup with menu A.There is also free ice cream too and their flavors range from vanilla, rocky road, pistachio, green tea, and chocolate mint.
I’ll continue coming to eat here since it’s great kbbq food and a decent price, usually after a day of knotts theme park.

I have been coming to this Korean BBQ place for over three or four years now, and although I been to many other places. Cham Soot Gol has always been the best place to eat at. I became familiar with this place when I was searching around for the best “all you can eat kbbq” and stumbled upon many good places such as; Bulgogi House, Gen, Red Palace, and Red Castle, but although these were all good, something about Cham Soot Gol has always brought me back.
Cham Soot Gol excels in many aspects and I feel like this is what brings pull people back into their restaurants. One aspect is that Cham Soot Gol has amazing customer service. There are many waiters walking around at a time, and check on you when they see that you’re out of meat or need water, sides or anything that will ensure your night was successful. I had a waiter see that I was running out of sauce and went to pour more for our table. As for the level of kindness that these waiters show it’s incredible. They don’t show attitude instead, the waiters do their work diligently and respectfully. The second thing is, this place has amazing meat, and a large variety of it as well. Their meat is fresh and not only do they have meat but also shine as well. They even carry a variety of ice cream in the back as dessert. And for anyone who doesn’t like salad, this place will make you change your mind. The salad is absolutely delicious, it is well seasoned and also fresh. Another thing that Cham Soot Gol carries is their kimchi fried rice, spicy tofu, and an egg pot which are also very delicious.
Although this place has many positives, every restaurant has its negatives that keep people from coming. Though it’s not a big deal to me, a negative of this restaurant is the price. The menu A has gone up over the years, what was once 16-17$ is now 19.99, as for the B menu, it is 22-23$ which is also not bad considering the positives that comes with with this place, and the meat that is served. Another thing that I can thing of with this place is the restaurant itself is small, because of the places popularity and how it only opens after 5 P.M. there are large crowds of people coming in at this hour, but because of this places size the wait time for the Place can take quiet awhile. Sometimes 30 minutes sometimes up to an hour during rush hour. Something I suggest for this place to improve on is the size of the restaurant. Maybe expand it or even have a party room because I think something that drives hungry customers away is that very long wait line.
Overall I would definitely recommend Cham Soot Gol to my friends, and over the years I have recommended it to many friends and they have all loved it. With the positives that come with this place, I’d give them a big thumbs up and rate them a 9/10, the only negative that I think affects me are the wait time, if this restaurant is able to fix this, it would be a 10/10 for sure. For the meat, service and variety of foods at the restaurant, I strongly believe that this is by far one of the bests Korean Barbecue places in the OC and is totally worth your money.!

We never got the name of our server, but he had a sleeve tattoo but he was very attentive and amazing to talk too. The service was excellent! Always refilling our drinks and checking up on how we were doing! He was amazing! The food was good portions and it was good quality meat! The ice cream at the end was the best part!
